HISTORY
Strongarm brackets were originally fabricated fourteen years ago, in our Kapiti workshop, to fill a storage requirement in retirement villages.
Over the years, the brackets have been improved, and are now much stronger units, that will support up to an 800mm workbench, elegantly cantilevered from a wall without additional support.
These brackets are now specified for all schooling additions in Northland. They have been found to successfully withstand all the punishment that senior students can give them.

OUR CUSTOMERS:
Basically, all leading cabinetmakers in Whangarei use our shelving supports, which we supply directly to them..
We started out with one keen user, who showed them to the architect who did most of Northland’s schools. He in turn specified Strongarm for all additions to schools. Other kitchen designers then phoned us to quote. Once conversant with what could be done with our product, they incorporated Strongarm into their own fabrication.
We now have a steady income of at least a thousand dollars monthly, from our local tradespeople. This is keeping constant, despite the current extreme downturn in building. It is our belief that similar sized populations to Northland will return at least the same turnover for individual agents.

NORTHLAND CONSUMERS:
Many Strongarms have been fitted through Whangarei hospital and outbuildings. Bream Bay College, when upgrading to computers, fitted them, along with most other retrofitted schools. PacnSave have them fitted for their distribution benches. United Carriers in their staffroom. Hikurangi Golf Club to hold bathroom vanities. Many private homes have hidden brackets holding up cantilevered kitchen and bathroom shelving as specified by designers.

NEW AREA SALES:
Strongarms are sold in Northland because the cabinetmakers are assured of a reliable quality, which will be delivered locally on same day for small orders, or as requested for larger numbers.
Our advice in a new area, is to call on all the larger cabinetmakers personally, leaving each a specification sheet, with prices, if you desire.
Architects and schools can be contacted personally or by email and phone.
Individual calls on schools and hospitals are no doubt worth while, but something we have never done up here.

Once first orders have been supplied, and your tradespeople have become adept at utilizing our product, the surprising thing is how regularly “a few more” brackets keep selling for an amazing variety of uses.

We have another two smaller brackets in prototype form that are a better looking and stronger bracket than those available from the big box stores.

Competition / Market:

The bracket units, although protected by a "patent pending", could be fabricated by a local engineering shop. We believe that our product is superior in design and finish to the locally built units, and I am told that we are at a better price, because of our series production.

Support & training:

Our experience with selling to our local industry will be passed over to all agents.

Reasons for selling:

The reason for opening up this business is that now, in more difficult times, we have found that the sales have maintained their level. Ther are difficulties in freighting individual brackets The response available from our local agents is a major reason that cabinetmakers choose Strongarm. We decided that the best way of having the product available Nationwide was to elect individual agencies.
